This tour commemorates several crucial landmarks of central Iran. From venturing to Persepolis to witnessing popular relics of 18th and 19th century Shiraz, this excursion is a true trip back in time! We will highlight figures from classical Persian literature and learn the heritage site of Cyrus the Great in Pasargadae.
On this historical tour of Yazd, we will also see 14th century mosques, desert architecture, and intricate wind towers, including the Zoroastrian Towers of Silence. Our last few stops will also include monumental capital of 17th century Safavid Persia and famous venue for Islamic art, Naqsh-e Jahan Square.

Day 1: Arrival
Arriving at Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran, we will transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, we will visit the oldest museum in Iran, Archaeological Section of National Museum. We will also make our way to Golestan Palace.
We will first visit the Carpet Museum where we see carpets and rugs woven in Iran.
Next, we will go north of the city to visit Saadabad Palace.
We will then fly to Shiraz in the evening.
After breakfast, we will drive to ancient capital of Medians, Hamadan.
In the afternoon we will visit Alavian Tomb Tower, Ecbatana and Tomb of Avicenna.
Today we will learn about Achaemenid Empire by visiting attractions of the Persepolis that include: bas-reliefs, griffins, and ancient tombs.
We will also visit Necropolis which houses Naqsh-e Rostam, tombs of four Achaemenid Emperors.
Leaving Shiraz in the morning, we go to Yazd. En route to Yazd, we stop in Pasargadae and explore the tomb of Cyrus the Great.
Today we visit 14th century Jame Mosque as well as shrines of Seyyed Rokneddin, Davazdah Imam, and Alexander Prison.
Other attractions we will make way for today include Water Museum, Amir Chakhmaq complex, and Dowlatabad Garden.
Zoroastrian sites we will visit today include, Yazd Fire Temple and Towers of Silence.
Our first destination for the day will be Isfahan, but before we get there, we will pass through Meybod and Nain first!
In Meybod we will pay visit to a citadel and pigeon house. In Nain, we will be privy to the wool-weaving process and visit Nain Mosque as well as the Ethnological Museum of Nain.
We will then continue driving to Isfahan.
Our sites for today will include bridges of Si-o Se Pol and Khaju from Safavid dynasty. We will also pay visit to Naqsh-e Jahan Square and Abbasi Mosque. Other mosques we will also see are Sheikh Lotfollah and Ali Qapu Palace Pavilion.
Another and final site we will make way for will be Chehel Sotoun Palace.
Today’s half day city tour of Isfahan will consist of visits to Jame Mosque and Vank Cathedral.
The afternoon will be free for shopping.
Before ending our trip in Tehran, we will see destinations Abyaneh and Kashan first! These sites will include old homes of Tabatabai and Borujerdi, Sialk Tepe, and Fin Gardens.
We will also make a short stop at Imam Khomeini Mausoleum to show where the founder of Islamic Republic of Iran is buried.
We will then continue our drive to Tehran.
After breakfast, we will head to Vank Cathedral as well as a 12th century mosque, Jame Mosque of Isfahan.
The evening will consist of witnessing the social life of Isfahan and seeing bridges of Si-o Pol and Khaju.
Today marks the last day of our journey!
Before we head to Tehran, we will pass through an ancient village of Abyaneh as well as see the culture of Kashan. We will see two historic houses of Tabatabai and Broujerdi, Sialk Tepe, and Fin Garden.
Our last stop will be Imam Khomeini Mausoleum near Tehran.
